This project explores the cultural legacy of British fashion designer Mary Quant through a contemporary stamp collection inspired by the visual language of the 1960s. Influenced by Quant’s iconic flower symbol, geometric compositions, bold colour palettes, and the energy of Swinging London, the project combines fashion history with graphic storytelling and interactive design.
The collection was developed as a series of collector-style postage stamps alongside a fold-out booklet and animated AR experience. Through research, sketching, digital illustration, and collage techniques, I created a cohesive visual system that reinterprets Mary Quant’s influence on youth culture, freedom, and modern femininity.
The final outcomes combine archival references, hand-built graphic elements, expressive typography, and layered textures to reflect the playful and revolutionary spirit of the era. The project investigates how historical design icons can be translated into contemporary visual communication while preserving their cultural identity and recognisable aesthetic.
